Being an English major and an avid reader, I am able to command language and understand how it functions. I would be able to break down language and help explain it in a way to help it make sense to you.

I excelled at English in Highschool. I also completed the IEB Advanced English course and am currently studying first-year English at Wits. Through this, I have developed excellent grammatical skills and thus feel I would be more than capable of passing on said skills.

I am an education editor for an internationally accredited higher education institution, and I have former experience in lecturing English and Philosophy to both first and second/foreign language students. I received training and have teaching experience in both Australia and South Africa. My current full-time job comprises improving the standard of learning material for our students from both a language and pedagogical perspective, and my passion in life is to positively contribute, in any way possible, to students' learning experience. I have also worked as a writing instructor at a writing lab and have spent many hours helping students develop better writing strategies and skills on both school and university level.

I studied English Literature for 4 years throughout university as it was one of my major subjects for my Bachelor's degree.
