I graduated with a distinction in English at university. I have a real passion for English and thoroughly enjoyed studying the subject. I am very good at breaking things down to make them more easily understandable. I also have my TEFL certificate - two 20 hour courses and one 120 hour course.

I have studied a 168-hour TEFL course in teaching English to students and also favoured this subject greatly during my high-school years. I always had very passionate English teachers growing up and because of them I am able to see the deeper meaning behind literature, learned how to study the syntax of the language well, as well as feel passionately about the subject.

I'm a qualified high-school English teacher. I have experience teaching English as a Second Language in various countries - South Africa, China and Japan. I have a Bachelor of Education Honours degree, in which I specialised in teaching Language and Literacy - and teaching English as a foreign language.

I have 5 years experience tutoring and teaching English. I have 2 years teaching Early childhood and development(I am currently a preschool teacher). I am busy studying Bed in Intermediate Phase Teaching therefore my practicals have given me 50 weeks experience teaching grade 4-6. I love teaching students something new and making it exciting in the process. I make use of a variety of teaching and learning methods to cater for all students with earning abilities or disabilities.

I have been teaching TESOL (Teaching English as a Second Language) for about three years. First, in Hong Kong, to students aged between 3 and 12. Later, I taught at a school in China, where many students struggled with reading, writing, and speaking English. Two of TESOL certificate specialities are "tutoring one-on-one" and "teaching students in China". While of course, not all students seeking to learn English are Chinese, the core elements of teaching the language remain the same. With a bit of effort and enthusiasm, together, we can have you reading, writing, and speaking English like a native speaker in no time!

I am an understanding tutor as I know the difficulties when learning a new language, I will make a specialized class for every student. I try to make a fun and calm learning environment I do this to try and help students learn in a comfortable environment.
