Reading tutors in Johannesburg

Well honestly, to teach reading you need patience and fortunately I have a lot of patience. I also believe that teaching reading also requires you as a person or tutor to allow the child to figure out their own mistakes, not always interrupting them or correcting them and this i have learnt from experience. I am enthusiastic and fun, qualities you need to make reading enjoyable and not just because you have to. Reading is important, but it's also a way to escape reality. There was a saying that was drilled into my head when I was younger and it still drilled in, it goes, 'Read, read, read. The more you read, the more you know, the more you know, the more you grow, so read, read, read.' I am here to help.

I am currently studying to become a teacher and specializing in English. I also have experience with working with primary school children and teaching them to read. English is also another subject I am passionate about.

Having gone through all my education in English, I have a good command of the English language. I also have a score of 9 in the General IELTS examination. I have tutoring experience and I have the desirable soft skills; patience, understanding and structure to successfully tutor this subject.

I enjoy reading and believe that everyone should as well; I would like to share my love for reading.

I am a lover of novels hence my interest in reading. I believe that for effective communication, one must be able to read and write as well as they speak. Most knowledge is written hence to make the most of it one must be able to read. So I think being able to help one to be able to read will be a great achievement.

I enjoy English as a subject and ensure my learners have fun-filled lessons while learning. I am an experienced teacher and my skill set can be off great advantage to my learners. I create exciting lessons that are easy to understand.

I have a younger sister who is in grade 1 and I realized how good I was at helping her out with her reading and writing. I think if I could put myself out there, I could possibly help students like my sister who struggle with English at times

Reassurance and positive encouragement is what I offer best to my students. I am always well prepared, and I ensure understanding of the content at hand. I believe patience, empathy and practice is key.

many students battle with something as small as reading, it will be my job to help them gain confidence and be able to read any books or forms of texts given to them without feeling flustered or ashamed. i want to help create a love for reading.

To ensure my learner becomes fluent and proficient in reading, I will create and plan different fun and interactive lessons that will integrate different strategies such as phonological and phonemic awareness (focusing on the sounds), fluency (the ability to read effortlessly), vocabulary and comprehension (understanding the text).
