Dear Student, My name is Tammy and I am currently in the third year of my Bachelor's Degree in Education Foundation Phase at Varsity College. I am 25 years old and teaching has always been a passion of mine. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, painting, and spending time with my family. Before studying teaching I was an au-pair in America for a year, as well as, a swimming teacher for two years. I love getting to know my student's unique abilities and seeing them grow through fun and interactive lessons. This year is going to be an explosion of learning both for my students and myself. I cannot wait to get to know you and help you reach your full potential!

Au-pair
I was a stay in au pair for the Swenson family. I Looked after 2 children, a 3 months old baby boy, and a 4-year-old girl. For the boy, I did general baby care such as bathing, feeding, changing, and stimulation activities. For the girl, I had the duty of transporting her to and from school and extra murals. I also prepared daily meals, fun activities, and general care.

Vocabulary
Vocabulary is crucial for becoming a proficient reader and for the development of language skills. I can help in the development of vocabulary by creating an interest in words through fun and meaningful lessons. I will prioritize words that my learner will encounter in reading, link the new words to previously known words to help grasp the meaning of the words and their use as well as exposing the same vocabulary to them through reading and writing activities.
