I majored in Business Studies and Economics during the course of my Post Certificate in Education. As I studied BCom Communication Management and Marketing, I am able to share my knowledge on other levels.

Currently studying towards becoming a professional teacher, Business Management is one of my elective majors which qualifies me to teach Business Studies and Economic management Sciences (EMS) to students. Business Management is a subject which all will find completely rewarding as it equips learners with theoretical knowledge to become successful entrepreneurs and management skills to successfully run an organization.

I have both teaching and industrial knowledge in it. I majored in Business Studies and I hold a Masters Degree in Business Studies. Business Studies was one of my modules and I am very comfortable teaching it.

My PGCE specialisations are Business Studies Gr 10 - 12 and EMS Gr 7 -9. I have a degree in B.com Marketing Management and 10 years' experience in sales, marketing, hr and general business management.

Born in a Christian family, I did primary and high school education including Advanced Level, My first job was a temporary High School Teacher in Mathematics, Biology, General Science, Physics before joining a rail company as an apprentice Fitter Machinist, later qualifying as a Fitter, kept studying Mechanical Engineering Technician and Diploma level, then further working as a Mechanical Draughtsman before winning a scholarship to study B.Engineering(Hons) in Industrial Engineering. I then worked in various portfolios as an Junior and Senior Mechanical Engineer as well as Projects Engineer in both rail and Mining Industry. I even lectured students at Cape Peninsula University of Technology in various Mechanical Engineering subjects for two years. I left to join an SA rail company hub in Zimbabwe which opened my horizons further regarding seeing the 'Big Picture' in Strategic Management, Business Acumen and general leadership and management knowledge, skills and attributes. The company decided to scale down operations in Zim hence I was eventually retrenched. I am an avid reader and I follow life events from political, social and economic perspective just to gain a full understanding of where our world came from, where we are and what future prospects may come in the future. I am very passionate about education and learning to the extent that I used to help students in whatever community I were to help them understand Mathematics, Science and Business Studies. I even paid fees for some poor students during my year as a Temporary High School Teacher. Since 2011 I have been involved as a Management Development Facilitator for mainly African government and parastatal employees as par of countries Capacity Building needed to champion the development in their respective countries as encouraged by United Nations, World Bank, International Monetary Fund, NGOs, African union as well as European Union apart from different efforts of individual countries of the world in fighting poverty, hunger, illiteracy, Women and Child Abuse, Curable diseases etc apart from contributing to social, political and economic development in Developing Countries. I love sport especially Soccer, Basketball, Cricket , Rugby and Tennis. I am a member of Centurion Toastmasters Club which is part of Toastmasters International which is the world's largest organization championing Communication and Leadership Development in a very friendly learning environment. I am quite a spiritual person and Christian by faith. I am a none-smoker, not into drinking beer but can take wine when relaxing. I like teaching Mathematics, Physics, Biology and Business Studies

While completing my BCom (Law) and LLB degrees, I learnt a lot about myself and the fact that I was invited to join the Golden Key Society, as well as appearing on the Dean’s List of Merit and achieving the highest marks for Sports Law 420 and Cyber Law 420, greatly reinforced my belief that I can achieve anything I set my mind to. I can also proudly say that I have been admitted as an attorney in January of last year after completing a year of articles and 6 months of evening classes for law school. It took a lot of dedication and long hours and it was indeed tiring; however, it has been worth it in the end. It had brought me closer to accomplishing my dream of being an attorney. I am also currently completing my master’s degree at the University of Pretoria, specialising in Consumer Protection, as I am passionate about the law and helping others. I therefore believe that I have the duty to impart my knowledge and skills to future generations of law students.

I am coloured, and Afrikaans fluent. I am also fluent in English. I love to read books, and also like having fun with friends. I am Westley Claassen, and I am currently 32 years of age. I am coming from a small town called Oudtshoorn in the Western Cape. I am blessed to still have my mother, and two brothers and a older sister. I started with my university studies at 2007.I completed my B.comm accounting degree at NWU( Potchefstroom) in 2010 and also completed my management accounting honours degree in 2011. I completed the Post Graduate Diploma in Accounting Sciences course at UNISA in 2014, and started with my articles at SizweNtsalubaGobodo in 2015. I am a qualified CA since 2018.

I studied commercial subjects at tertiary and have solid work experience that applies business principles. I have good theoretical base to explain, discuss and test understanding in this field. My experience would be invaluable to coach students with practical cases.

I hold a M.Com (Econ) degree from Stellenbosch University. Have worked as an Economist for over 6 years in Government and the NGO sector
