Statistics tutors in Western Cape

Currently doing my MSc at UCT. I triple majored in geology, geography and environmental science in my undergrad at Rhodes University. I did a year of chemistry in my undergrad, however I do geochemistry and geophysics as part of geology so my chemistry is up to scratch. I wont have a problem teaching highschool maths or physics/chemistry, geography or biology.

I have a passion for numbers and statistics just makes sense to me. I have achieved good grades at university level in statistics for biological sciences and I can help make statistics easier for learners.

I have taking statistics as a module at the university of the Western Cape , and following this module in my second year doing psychometrics , I know the absolute basics as well as have the many patience regarding this subject

I averaged above 85% in mathematics for the whole of my 12 years in school and finished Matric with a NSC average of 90%. I'm very passionate about maths and people and would be great in combining this through tutoring. I'm patient, very good would with people and love to help people reach their potential.

I achieved A+ in my a levels, 84 (first class) during my first year and 67 during my second year at university level. I am able to grasp concepts easily and quickly and is able to convey information to the point. I used to ask a lot of silly questions but I learnt that there is never a silly question nor answer. I am friendly and is able to make the student comfortable with numbers by explaining them the logic and reasoning behind.

I have completed university level courses in both pure and applied statistics. The foundation of my current research is statistical. I have a great passion for statistics and it's uses.

Having achieved exceptional result for my statistics courses at university I am more than capable of teaching others. I fully and clearly understand the basis of statistics and can thus teach the subject effectively and expand to the more intricate facets of the subjects easily.

I enjoy working with numbers and was a tutor for Introduction to Actuarial Science, Financial Mathematics and Statistics during my undergrad at UCT. I'm keen assist in tutoring. However, I'm only available to help on weekends.

Firstly I love Statistics. Further more, I believe I am the best tutor for this subject because I am a very patient teacher and Mathematics needs patience. When teaching a concept, I make sure that all the basics that build up to that particular concept have been covered and understood by a learner. I also allow learners to practice by giving them a mini test after the session to check if they have really understood the concepts we just covered.
