Primary School tutors in Western Cape

I am a 21 year old post-graduate studen from Stellenbosch University. In 2017, I completed my Bachelor of Arts in the Humanities, with a double-major in Psychology and English Literature, and a minor in Sociology. I am currently pursuing a PGCE at Stellenbosch University, as I have a passion for children and teaching. I am a hard-working, dedicated and very organised, and I will motivate learners to work hard and will instill a learning culture in them.

I have a B.Ed degree and am a qualified Foundation Phase teacher. I taught in a mainstream school in Grade 3 before moving to a home school post. I love working with younger children and am passionate about making learning enjoyable and interactive.

As stated in my biography, I am a student teacher (last year of my studies) studying towards the intermediate phase (grade 4-7) thus, I am studying all the subjects that the learners are currently learning at school

I have completed 3 out 4 teaching practicals. During this time, I have designed and taught various lessons from Grade R to Grade 2. I have worked in an aftercare for 2+ years as a homework tutor for Grades 1 to 7, assisting with various subject matter from reading and writing skills to history and natural science.

I am interested in being of assistance to any primary schools subjects to assist children with their homework and tasks and even if they are struggling with any subject as I want to be that assistance that I did not previously have that would have immensely helped in improving my grades but I had to do it alone and it was not easy. So, I want to ease the child of such problem and also help parents who are busy with other responsibilities and make their job as a parent easier and less stressful and be of great assistance that the child does well in their academics.

I am a qualified teacher. I studied PGCE (Postgraduate Certification in Education) at the University of Stellenbosch in 2019 and I graduated cum laude. Although I am mainly qualified to teach grade 10, 11 and 12, I have experience with younger children and lived at home before studying education where I helped my little brother with his home work every day. He was grade 5 and 6 at the time. Helping him with his studies was one of the main reasons I decided to study education.

I have many years of general homework, tutoring and assisting with projects for individuals in Primary school. I ensure the homework is complete, extention work given and preparation for any projects, assignments or orals is done to the best of their ability.

As a university student I will be able to help you when it comes down to doing primary school. I did well in primary school which is also why I think I will be able to help you with it as well and to also hopefully enjoy it.

I can help with all general organization, homework and project needs. Consider me your after school PA. I understand, first hand how crazy school can get. Projects, mondelings, maths tutorials and presentations all pile up and the worst thing is waiting until the last minute to get to them. Allow me to be an extra collection of neurons and help you keep track of what needs to be done and when and to also help complete the tasks at hand.

I studied and worked really hard in school. I thus was always helping my fellow peers out with problems. In doing so I learned that you can approach questions differently and getting the same result. I thus love to share and help students out in any way I can. I have a 100% mentality. I do everything to the best of my abilities and teaching a student would not be any different. I would come prepared for a lesson and teach the basics first and then move on to more difficult scenarios. I have a very friendly approachable personaIity and am very patient. The student will always feel safe to share concerns and to reach their maximum potential.
