For the last four years, I have balanced my academic pursuits in the form of both an Undergraduate and an Honours graduate degree in Film and Media Production with several jobs in event management, retail and volunteering at my local animal shelter. For my most recent scholarly pursuit, an Honours program in Film and Television studies, I was awarded a Distinction for my year-long dissertation. Moreover, I have acquired a broad range of skills through additional studies in History, Anthropology, English Literary Theory & Criticism and African Economic History. This extensive experience has fortified my skill as a critical thinker, capable of providing innovative solutions to complex problems, particularly under heavy deadline constraints. More to this point, I'm not one who learns by rote memorization. I insist upon understanding things beyond the level that satisfies the requirements of a written test; I yearn for the intuitive approach, which I feel makes studying more accessible and relatable.
