History Teacher (expert!)
I taught History, at an IEB school, for 14 years. It was co-ed and I taught History from Grade 8 to Matric. We had a lot of fun in between tours, trips, debates, and hard work. My students spent quite a bit of time on research and working on computers for information as well as a means to record, edit and present work. In the afternoons,I coached hockey, swimming and debating. My Matrics consistently performed above the National average, last year my class of 19 achieved 7 As, 6 Bs and 6 Cs.

I taught History for 14 years, in an IEB school, from Grade 9 to 12. My pass rate was 100% and my average for the last 5 years was in the 70s. But more importantly, my students LOVED the subject because it taught them valuable general knowledge and an understanding of current events, as well as values and attitudes that equipped them to make informed life choices.

Writing
I have a lot of experience teaching students how to write both English and History essays. This includes research, referencing and editing. Universities require you to write essays all the time and I will equip you to deal with that expectation.

TEFL
Honestly, I'm probably not the best tutor for this subject right now. But I might be one day if I get some experience, which is what I'm looking for. I have done the introductory TEFL course and, of course, I have plenty of teaching experience, but teaching English to foreign learners will be a new adventure for me. Maybe we can help each other?
