At The University of Pretoria, I completed two bachelor's degrees; the first in music and the second in chemistry. I also took French to a third year level. In 2019, I completed my honours in chemistry at WITS and finished with an average of 77%. I got distinctions for all my high school subjects (Science, French, English, Afrikaans, Music, Additional Music, Mathematics, and Life Orientation). I have been tutoring privately since 2014 and I was a demonstrator for first year chemistry practicals at WITS while completing my honours. I have tutored children from the age of 6 to adult learners and I enjoy engaging with students and finding ways to work with them to improve their understanding.

As a PhD student I investigate the ecology and genetics of mole-rats and learn new statistical techniques to apply better analyses. I have a MSc degree in Ecology and Conservation biology and did a BSc in general biology including plant science, evolutionary biology, microbiology, immunology and neurology.
