I am a 29 year old teacher who resides in Randburg and I have a B Social Science Honours degree and a PGCE (Foundation Phase). I am currently a Grade 2 teacher and absolutely love what I do. I enjoy working with children and creating enjoyable lessons.

I am an experienced Mathematics, Natural Science and Biology (Life Science) teacher. I am good at maximising a student's abilities and finding and adressing their problem areas and special needs. I love to see students make progress, to understand and do work that they were struggling with before. I use many different strategies to help students, from jokes to stories to drawing and movements. I like to build a good, caring relationship with my students.

I am an extrovert and hence get most of my energy from interacting and being around people: new, old, young, whomever. I am currently studying BCom Accounting at The University of the Witswatersrand and am hoping to transfer next year to BAccounting Sciences so that I can pursue my career and dream as a Chartered Accountant. I went to St Mary's DSG in Pretoria and matriculated with 6 distinctions in: Accounting, English, Afrikaans, Life Orientation, History and Drama. I would love to use the knowledge I acquired in school and the knowledge I am continuing to acquire at university to benefit students who are not only trying to pass school but are trying to pass with the best marks! I believe in fundamentals and will focus on building a rock solid foundation before building the house.

I am a finance honors graduate and I have 4 years teaching experience within South Africa and internationally. I have experience in various subjects including Maths and English. I have a passion for teaching and would love to provide a student with the tools for learning and passing to their maximum potential.

I'm a PhD student in Chemistry at UCT and I've been tutoring chemistry from 1st- 3rd year for the past 5 years. Currently I'm tutoring CEM1019H (1st year). Tutoring makes me feel smart! Often progress is slow in research and being able to help someone understand something gives me a boost of motivation to get back at it.

I am currently completing my masters degree in Applied Mathematics at the University of Cape Town. Before my masters I studied physics (BSc with Honours) at Queen Mary University of London where I achieved at 2:1 overall. I grew up in South Africa but moved to Germany to complete the international baccalaureate where I achieved 34 overall with a 6 in physics and mathematics higher level. I enjoy helping students and aim to provide them with the confidence needed to excel in any subject.

I am an individual with a passion for helping people from all walks of life. I am excellent with numbers and very much enjoyed Mathematics at High School level. I love to learn and love helping people and will always do my best to make sure that the individual I am helping is comfortable and confident in the work I am helping them with.

My name is Lauren Immelman and I am a qualified teacher. In 2018 I obtained my Bachelor of Education degree of which I completed in four years. This allows me to teach from grades 4 to 12. Teaching is my passion as I enjoy working with students and finding ways to make lessons relatable and fun. English is my favorite subject to teach as I enjoy writing short stories and poetry. Reading is one of my favorite hobbies, accompanied with my love for animals, enjoy movie watching and binging the latest series. Along with my love for teaching English, I feel that getting students ready and confident for their tests and exams are important, therefore, I can help students by testing and creating study notes to help them understand what they need to learn.
