I am completing my degree in early childhood development this year. This means that I am qualified to teach grades R-3 and I am equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills in order to teach up to grade 7 level.

My name is Lethokuhle Duma. I am a fourth year student, studying civil engineering at the University of Witwatersrand and I plan to become a geotechnical and/or structural engineer because of my big interest for construction, infrastructural development and the earth sciences. My interest comes from growing up in a community where infrastructure and development was lacking, it has always been my desire to learn the necessary skills it takes to implement such constructions in a community in hopes to be a part of a team which specializes in such responsibilities. My love for maths and sciences was also a major contributing factor that encouraged me to choose engineering as a career path. my other interest are design, art and technology.

Natural science was my favorite subject at school. I always enjoyed helping my friends with concepts that they had some trouble with.

I am confident and very skilled in this subject. I studied Natural Science in high school, and I have more than enough content knowledge to teach most of the topics involved in Natural Sciences. The knowledge I possess accommodates primary and high school scholars.

I mentioned that I am Natural Scientist by profession and hold a scientific portfolio at my workplace. I have also a postgraduate diploma is a science related field. I have vast expertise in the field of science including scientific writing, scientific research methodology, and knowledge pertaining to all aspects of science.

I loved having this subject althoughout my school experience, that being said I understand that some concepts can be difficult and complicated and thus difficult to grasp. I am also currently taking Biology at university level and believe this will help me to better explain the principles and functions of different biological processes.

This would be one of my subject choices I would like to teach one day as n teacher. It is very easy to make notes and to explain to learners. There are many games to create for children to understand the subject

I have been teaching natural sciences for more than 3 years to primary school students and in the process I also learned a lot. I’ve learned to love the subject and make it fun for each student. I also do all the notes with question papers with memo’s. I also give guidelines to the students in order for them to remember their study material easier.

I have a passion for the sciences, especially biological and environmental sciences. I'm currently in my 4th year of a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and believe that the knowledge I have gained would be great in helping others understand natural science.
