I am a young lady currently doing a Masters degree in Clinical Neuropsychology at the University of Cape Town

I am currently a PhD candidate in the field of Engineering Hydrology and Meteorology at UKZN. I have a Masters degree in Civil Engineering and I have 4 years experience as an engineer. My studies and work require high level expertise in maths and sciences. I am passionate about science and I enjoy helping others develop their skills in the field.

I prefer to tutor grades 4-8. I can tutor in most subjects up to grade 9, apart from Afrikaans, which I will only teach up to Grade 7. I've attended several study courses, including the Juno course. These courses have really helped me and I'd love to show my students how easy it can be to learn and memorize. With our academic oriented society, the self-esteem of students often takes a few hits. It's important to me as a teacher that my students understand that their mistakes are part of a learning process. I'm admittedly young, but I achieve excellent results as a straight A student, which I have been my whole school career, and I have experience dealing with different learning styles.

I'm a qualified scientist. I work at coca cola as a quality controller though. I have BSc (Honours). I specialized in natural sciences. Subjects that I can tutor would Biology, Life sciences, Physics, Mathematics, History and Geography. Languages is not to bad too but only English and Afrikaans. I tutor all grades 4-12. I have an extremely strong passion for teaching and have experience in teaching and tutoring at numerous schools. I have taught to kids in places like Indonesia, Sri Lanka and India, where I taught in schools to many children of all ages and levels. I believe that there is a special connection between a student and a teacher, in being able to offer knowledge, love, understanding, and a space to grow. I am an energetic, positive, and creative person, with a zest for life, and a deep patience. I have a gift of connecting with children, and am able to be one with children, as well as having the strengths of organizing, planning lessons and being reliable and hard working. I have strong interpersonal skills which assist greatly in tutoring.

I am keen on interactive learning and using different learning styles to enhance learner response. I am fun and loving towards children thus my passion for teaching.

I enjoy reading, blogging, horse-riding and teaching. I am passionate about history and biology as well as English writing and literature. I like to teach students about these passions in the hopes that it too will inspire them. Being excited about a subject is the first step to success.
