By making Afrikaans "come alive" students come to love this highly descriptive language and enjoy the learning experience in an uplifting, relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. After the assessment of a student's level of comprehension and assisting with the immediate challenges at hand (i.e. homework of the day) we proceed steadily towards building a sound understanding of the structured principles and vocabulary at a pace geared towards the student's ability to grasp. There is no such thing as a "dumb question" and my students' success is my motivation for teaching.

Having graduated in "The mother of all art forms" - Architecture - and having honed the various acquired skills over 27 years - experience has shown that art should be presented/taught as "a journey of the soul" (rather than merely another subject) via a hands-on approach (in the various mediums such as pencil, paint, sculpture, wireframes, etc.) freeing the student from stereotype thinking by developing unique visual perception and techniques of individualistic expression.
