I am good at explaining Maths from a student perspective and angle of things. I myself struggled a lot with mathematics in High School but eventually I completed my O-levels and A-levels (Cambridge level) in that as well.

I also achieved in the 90's in maths in grade 12. I am an engineering student so maths comes as second nature to me. I have experience teaching maths to friends and helping people in the community at home with maths tutoring as well

I taught maths and numeracy skills to junior school students (grade 5 -7) through Junior Undiscovered Maths Prodigy Herschel Initiative (JUMP HI) from 2013 to 2015. This was done on a voluntary basis.

I have a very good grasp of Mathematics in a fundamental kind of way and I believe that because of that I am very good at explaining concepts to people. I did both Mathematics and AP Mathematics at a High School level and was first in both. My final matric Mathematics result was 98% and I continued on to do a triple major including Mathematics and Mathematical Statististics.

I got a distinction for pure maths at the end of matric. I have completed 3 maths courses at uct and achieved a first class pass for 2 of the 3. I believe in solidifying fundamentals and understanding an overview of the topics needed for study before diving into the practical component of learning- method learning is key.

I've got a year's experience in high school maths tutoring, and all of my students have seen improvements in their understanding and marks. Maths is my favourite subject to teach, as once you understand one thing others tend to fall into place, and I love watching that "aha" moment! I did very well in maths throughout high school, and have studied it at university. I'm excited to show you all the tricks I've picked up along the way! I'm very patient, and happy to explain things many times and work at whatever pace suits you.

I have a passion for Maths and problem solving. I am a very logical person and my love for Maths allowed me to achieve excellent marks. I will be able to explain mathematical concepts and help with the understanding of higher level thinking questions.

I am extremely passionate about Mathematics and believe I can help students find quick and easy ways to solve mathematical problems. I obtained 98% for Mathematics in Grade 12 as well as 89% for Advanced Programme Mathematics. Advanced Programme Mathematics included a module in Statistics - at first year university level. I have since continued to perform in Biostatistics at university.
