Mathematics tutors in Rondebosch

While I was in high-school, specifically grades 11 and 12, I tutored fellow high-school students in Mathematics. Through this tutoring, my love for maths grew. I excelled in Advanced Programme Mathematics and Core Mathematics in high-school and would love to share my strategies towards achieving a high grade for maths with other current school students.

Maths has always been one of my best subjects. I have a strategy for studying maths. First and foremost, we will understand and study the theory and rules of the section, and then we will practice. Once you truly grasp the concept of what you are doing, practice will make perfect and you’ll be acing those Algebra tests. It’s a tried and true method! It got me through matric with a distinction, so it will definitely work for you. I also have some amazing notes, which I am very happy to share!

I have performed very well in Mathematics in High School as well as in university. I have a excellent understanding in mathematics and I am able to explain the content in a clear way. I am also able to solve problems in different ways so that I am able to explain the tutee in the method that they will understand best.

Maths never came naturally to me and so I feel I am able to connect to students who struggle to understand it as I break it down in creative, humorous ways and make it easy to comprehend. I'm not going to try and get the student to fall in love with maths but rather gain confidence in the subject and show them that it is possible for anyone to do.

I am a graduate civil engineer from the University of Cape Town and currently doing my MSc in Engineering at UCT.

I am 19 years old, studying a Business Science (Finance with Accounting) at UCT. I am a first year and graduated from Bishops Diocesan College last year where I received 5 distinctions.

Maths has always been one of my favourite and strongest subjects. I finished matric with an average of 94%, as well as completed my AP Maths exams. When it comes to maths, I believe practice to be of utmost importance. Therefore, my tutoring would have a focus on repetition and problem-solving skills in order for the best results to be achieved.

I achieved a few distinctions in matric. I also took subjects such has biology, economics and history. I am studying bcom now. So I am available in the afternoons only. I also did pure maths.

I am a people person so you can find me spending time with family and friends in most of my free time. I enjoy cooking, using family recipes or new recipes, but baking is my favorite! If I am by myself I work on crosswords or read. I am almost always listening to music of a varirety of genres and look for new music to listen to all the time! I am originally from the United States and attended University in Minnesota. I've always had a passion for teaching and for helping others so being a tutor has always been something I've wanted to do.
