Music tutors in Pretoria

I have taught class music for many years to ages 2 years up to high school. I have also taught adults who wished to gain the enjoyment as well as therapeutic benefits of music. In these groups I have often had to teach children with learning disabilities alongside those without. Because of this experience I can assist parents who have learners that struggle with music and music assignments. I can also train teachers or aspiring teachers and assist them with planning out lessons for music and movement and how to use music as an integrated therapeutic tool. I can also assist and show them how to incorporate other subjects such as maths, social science and language into their music and classroom lessons to better assist learners with learning these subjects. Sessions can be done online as well as at my studio.

My name is Nanette and I am a vocal teacher. I studied and obtained my Btech Music Degree at Thwane University of Technology. I enjoy teaching and seeing how each student make progress ad a singer and musician.

I am currently studying BMus at the University of Pretoria. I have taken several courses that will prove useful in this position. These courses include first aid peer counselling and tutoring. I work well with children of all ages, am very reliable and organized, and am flexible and can problem solve under pressure. I am also a keen and willing learner. I have finished my gr8 guitar through Trinity and am busy with my level 4 teachers licentiate and master class in music theory through Rock School and i write my exams in June and November 2017. My forte is teaching the guitar and have been teaching youngsters from the age of 6. I also teach ukulele and drums, but only for entry level students as the guitar is my first love.

I am a 22 year old BMus graduate who is currently busy completing my MMus. I am an avid reader with a love for English literature. My interests include piano playing and teaching, music theory and African music studies. I have completed all levels in UNISA Piano practical examinations and UNISA music theory examinations.

Making Music, Designing and film making are what I love to do. I have more than 7 years music experience and love to teach others how to master instruments. I love the outdoors and I like to teach. I am very creative and have a unique style when it comes to playing and producing music.

Born in Johannesburg, attended high school overseas, interested in travel, choir conducting, ex-brass player (trumpet and French horn), I am now retired. I have a lifetime's experience working with all ages from 12 to mature adult.
