I have experience teaching English with children as young as 4 all the way up to business writing skills at 1st year college level. I have taken extra subjects at university level in order to be proficient in teaching and marking English.

For some, the English language can seem scary and impossible to master. However, with my assistance, English will become a subject that you will enjoy. I have studied a 168-hour TEFL course in teaching English to students and also favoured this subject greatly during my high-school years. I always had very passionate English teachers growing up and because of them I am able to see the deeper meaning behind literature, learned how to study the syntax of the language well, as well as feel passionately about the subject.

I'm a qualified high-school English teacher. I have experience teaching English, and English as a Second Language, in various countries - South Africa, China and Japan. I also have a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English Language and Literature.

I majored in english at university and have experience teaching this subject, as well as many other subjects: English, Afrikaans, maths, social science, natural science, technology, life skills, and life orientation. I have a great passion for teaching and would love to use innovative ways to transmit knowledge .

English was one of my favorite subjects to study and now it is one of my favorite subjects to teach. I am a fluent in English as it is my home language and I have studied it since primary school all the way through university.

I am the best tutor for this subject because firstly, I am computer literate so teaching online is no obstacle. Secondly, I am a qualified foundation phase teacher and I am currently teaching grade 2 full time so I have the necessary experience and knowledge. Lastly, I am also furthering my qualification into Inclusive Education so I will be able to assist those students with learning difficulties.

I have a great knowledge of the language built on many years of reading and writing, creatively. I have spent many years assisting my classmates with the subject. I am passionate about all forms of the English language and have a deep understanding of the language features and rhetorical devices used. Most importantly I am able to express concepts using different ideas and able to communicate my understanding to others.

The one thing I remember the most about school is the excitement I felt when going to English class. My teachers were amazing and have lit the passion in me for English. I really want to share this passion with my students and help them succeed. Not to mention I did quite well.
