Writing is an area in which we spend most of our daily lives exploring. It encompasses many forms of which a student needs to be fully aware and comfortable with. Writing has forever been my strongest realm and passion. I feel as though, through personal experience and my studies, I will be able to carry a student from the foundations of writing and beyond.

Creative writing is the best way to let your thoughts and ideas flow onto paper. It allows you to search deep into your mind and express what you need. Although this can be hard, there are ways to improve on the quality and content of writing and I can offer useful tips and tricks.

I am an English major and have averaged above 80% in these modules and in high school. I am passionate about the English language and have a thorough understanding of both beginner and advanced elements of it. Lets work together and help you reach your English goals!

Writing is one of my passions. I have mastered the academic essay writing for school. I teach learners how to write for good academic essays and appropriate word choices for certain topics.

It is very important to be able to apply yourself to writing exercises. It is beneficial to be able to explain yourself in writing. Knowing how to write an essay or letter will benefit the learners greatly in the future.

I have successfully completed my BSc degree at the University of KwaZulu-Natal. It consists of a double major: Hydrology & Geography. Within these two majors, I was moulded into a hard-working and consistent individual who utilizes a multidisciplinary approach and open mind when faced with new challenges. I believe that having mastered Writing in my BSc degree puts me in a position - confident to educate others.

I am in love with the English language. I am a writer of flash fiction stories and short stories. If you don't know what flash fiction is, it is a complete story told in under 500 words. With so few words to play with, you really have to have a great vocabulary to find the least number of words to describe your situation. E.g. Your character has blue eyes and black hair and you want to describe it in a poetic, but brief way... Her azure eyes gleamed as the wind ruffled her raven locks. (so I just told you what she looks like and that it is windy, all in 11 words) I love reading, which I think is a key to becoming a great writer. In fact, if you have a favourite author, I am super interested to find out who, and read their work. I'm not just a writer though, I am also an extremely efficient researcher and can assist with any reports that you might be stuck on (I will not do your work for you, but I can assist)

I used to have my English essays in high school so I would like to pass the skill that was taught to me to these learners. Writing is amazing. You get to be someone or something that you could not be. I want the learners to be able to be as free as possible

Lloyd Alexander once said that, “Fantasy is hardly an escape from reality. It's a way of understanding it.” Writing should not be seen as a task that must be completed but should be taught as a beautiful tool in which humans have expressed themselves and communicated for hundreds of years. I want to share this view on writing with all my students and rid of their fear of creative writing.

I have a great knowledge of the language built on many years of reading and writing, creatively. I have spent many years assisting my classmates with the subject. I am passionate about all forms of the English language and have a deep understanding of the language features and rhetorical devices used. Most importantly I am able to express concepts using different ideas and able to communicate my understanding to others.
