English was one of my majors at University but also a subject that i am wanting to explore more in depth. i have a great passionate for making up stories in order for learners to learn in an easier way.

I am patient and understanding. I feel like my experience allows me to teach a concept in multiple ways s that the learner can best grasp it. I have experience working with English second language learners.

My focal point is conversational English. I have developed a sound communication method for teaching English. I am a qualified TEFL educator. I help learners strengthen this skill so that they can excel in the world both in and out of the classroom.

I became an avid reader at a young age and I later on in my academic life discovered that English is at the core of every subject. The skills I picked up through reading made me love English as a subject and once a fell in love with and mastered English, it was then easier for me to deal with other subjects because all of them are rooted in being able to read, understand and answer any question fluently. It was this that helped me to get impressive marks at High School as well as at University level when I completed a course which required me to do high levels of reading and write numerous academic essays. I would like to take students along the same journey and instil in them the love for English, thereby helping them win at least half of their academic battles.

I have successfully completed my BSc degree at the University of KwaZulu-Natal. It consists of a double major: Hydrology & Geography. Within these two majors, I was moulded into a hard-working and consistent individual who utilizes a multidisciplinary approach and open mind when faced with new challenges. I believe that having mastered English in my BSc degree puts me in a position - confident to educate others.

I have 22 years experience in finance, business and banking. I am passionate and enjoy mentoring, coaching and training. I have previous experience in training and coaching for excellence. I have an MBA and willing to impart my years of work experience and acquired knowledge to those who are passionate for change.

I am passionate about English. I love writing, literature and language. My enthusiasm will sure rub off on you. I write my own poetry and short stories. I am an avid reader. I enjoy Shakespeare as well as poems.
