I have teaching experience in English including teaching English grade 10 at the University of Johannesburg . I have tutored for over years English an all levels and my students have had a high pass rate.

I received a distinction in matric for English and had an average of 88%. I was nominated as the best student in English from grade 8 - grade 12. I have six years experience in participating in English public speaking and was nominated as the best public speaker from grade 8 - grade 12.

I have first hand experience in teaching the English language. I understand and enjoy teaching my learners the language. I always look into different methods of teaching it so that its less daunting for my learners. I make use of pictures /flash cards to make lessons more interesting as well as hand gestures or facial expressions to give a clearer understanding.

Vocabulary is very important in the English language (as well as other languages). In order to have conversations with others one must know the correct grammar, vocabulary and spelling as well as how and when to use certain words in a conversation. I am very understanding and patient towards students with this regard.

I am able to engage the student on topics they find interesting to help them develop their vocabulary. I also use multiple literary sources to bolster their vocabulary. This ensures that the student actively engages with the material which makes it easier to retain.

I have a very good grasp of the English language and its intricacies. This is evidenced by my matric scores in the subject. My teaching style is to gear tutorials to match the way in which the learner naturally takes in information. This makes for efficient sessions and significant value added.

I have studied English for 21 years, I work as an online English teacher, I am certain that I will be able to teach my students well and they will be able to communicate with others fluently. I have also been an English learner myself and I will therefore be able to understand the struggles faced by my students and to also assist them. I have a passion for English and I believe that it is a language that is universally spoken, teaching this subject will not only improve the academic lives of the students it will also assist them personally and with their careers.

Because Portuguese is my native language so I believe that I have the capabilities to transfer the knowledge that I have to others for different purposes such as : business environment, school purposes, tourism purposes and others.
