Physics is not an easy subject. I had to put a lot of hard work into my own studies, this I feel has allowed me a good background in understanding how best to explain the concepts and formulae required. It is important to learn how to approach the questing logically and step by step. It is a subject I took to AS Level with a 77% pass.

Being a Physics student at the University of South Africa has allowed me to develop a core understanding of the subject and obtain sufficient knowledge enabling me to tutor students in obtaining the same appreciation for the subject. I will also compile documents to help students understand principles not usually taught in High School but only at University. Which helps a lot in actually understanding what it is all about.

My engineering degree was based on fundamental laws of physics. During my first and second year at varsity, I did an advanced course in physics. Also, I have 3 years tutoring experience with physics at all levels. My engineering degree also supplements my physics knowledge.

As with mathematics, I am a physics major graduate and have worked in an environment that required the practical application of what I learned during my academic course. Since I was young, I have loved science, spending my afternoons watching programmers like "The Atom" in the history channel. I am very passionate about the physical sciences and am passionate about sharing my knowledge and understanding.

Physics, along with Chemistry,is one of the more difficult subjects in school. I have extensive experience of tutoring both these challenging subjects, as well as access to past papers and notes that may help with learning. I matriculated with 97 percent in Physical Science (Physics and Chemistry) in 2016, as well as 92 percent in First Year Physics, giving me a good understanding of the course work.

I have obtained my BSc in Mechanical Engineering, won the WEIR Minerals Award for Best Design Report, and have been exposed to subjects such as Mechatronics, Thermodynamics, Fluids and Gas Dynamics, Statics and Dynamics, Software, Materials and Vibrations. I am familiar with FEA (Mechanical and Fluent), CAD, C++, Python, MatLab and MS Office

I believe there is an Albert Einstein or Isaac Newton within every one of us. I reason this with the following example, if you are out playing catch with your friend before throwing the ball you do not need to stop and calculate the force and the angle that must be applied to the ball before throwing it. Nor do you take out a pen and paper to calculate the affect of gravity and air resistance on that ball while it is in the air, instead it is intuitive and taught through application. I aim to take the same intuitive approach to understanding physics. And in conjuncture with the fundamentals of physics. students will soon be solving the problems without my assistance.

Having completed both engineering maths II, chemistry I and physics I at Wits I have the knowledge to help you or your child achieve their best. Beyond my studies I also have 10 years of experience helping learners improve their marks, opening up opportunities for them to pursue further studies toward a career of their choice.

I took physics modules for a year at university and am more than able to teach high school students and first year university students. I know how hard and frustrating it can be, but once you get a hang of it, it becomes kind of fun!
