French tutors in Cape Town

I have both an O-level and A-level in French. Furthermore, I am a French speaker from Mauritius.

French is in fact my native tongue. I moved to South Africa over 6 years ago which has made me fluent in english. I can thus very easily teach both up to a Matric level. I read a lot, in both french and english which has made me learn a lot about both languages. I can easily help with writing essays as well as reading and understanding books written in french or english amongst other things.

I am a teacher by formation and I have taught English as a second language to native French students . I believe applying the same methodology for teaching French to English native learners. Since I am a French native and have done education , I will be best at teaching French to you.

I achieved 92% for my final French matric mark. I am also currently pursuing a degree with a major in French and I am also taking conversation classes at the Alliance Française in order to ensure my French language abilities are polished. I have also achieved C1 of the DELF (a certification of French-language abilities for non-native speakers of French administered by the International Centre for French Studies France's Ministry of Education). Moreover, I tutored a grade 8 student from October - November 2018. This was done on a part-time basis and I was a private tutor.

French has been my biggest passion since the age of 14 when I began studying it at school. I fell in love with the romance of its sound and its ability to capture anyones attention. it is the most beautiful language in my eyes and learning to express myself in it has been the biggest joy for me. It can be tough at times which is why extra help is always best and extra help is what got me an A for Matric and has now got me into 3rd year of French at UCT. I am patient, understanding and I love teaching others about this beautiful language.

Because I'm French from France, I have studied literature, languages and tourism, I have taught French to many students alike in various countries and i have worked as a translator for over 16 years. Besides teaching French, I enjoy teaching about the culture, people and habits.

I love to help people who want to learn and as I come directly from France you will become familiar with the French accent and expressions !! I am available mostly in mornings and afternoons after 6pm .

I speak French fluently - native speaker - and I speak it every day with my son. All my studies were in French(baccalaureate and degree) where I used it to teach other people. I ‘m used to French literature too.

Languages are aimed at being spoken, which is why i offer tutoring in how to handle a conversation with confidence, as well as how to make stress-free readings. The courses will be dynamic and mostly focused on subjects the student wishes to approach. Ideally the learner needs to have an intermediate level (or have covered the basics) and be able to stand a simple and short exchange to get the full benefit of the lessons, however i could also focus on bringing someone up to basic conversation level. On the opposite side of the spectrum, i can train the more advanced students with language fluency and technical terms. The aim is to become fluent by improving the day to day language skills, to acquire the best possible pronunciation (oui oui), and also sustain ideas explicitly and question others eloquently.
