Art tutors in Cape Town

I am a qualified intermediate phase teacher at Curro Brackenfell and have been teaching professionally for two years. I am qualified to teach all Primary School subjects. I studied at CPUT Wellington and have a passion for educating young minds.

I have taught english from grade 4 to grade 12. I have taught history grade 10 and 11, and I have taught visual art grade 10 and 11. Life sciencce was one of my majors when studying, although I haven't taught it. I have also taught EMS grade 8 abd afrikaans grades 4 to 8. I am fully bilingual. I wrote the taalbond exams gr 11 and 12, as well as the tweetaligheid eksamen gr 11 and 12. I have been teaching for 24 years, having taken time out of my teaching career to be at home with my children. I manage to establish a good rapport with the students I teach, and try to balance being strict with being human and understanding. I maintain a high standard of work, and I expect commitment from the learners I work with.

I am a 25 year old vibrant unmarried lady. I love working with kids. I tutored kids in my neighbourhood, helped with their homework and gathered information for them for assignments. It is one of biggest dreams to become a qualified teacher one day. I would love to make a difference in how children construct their future and there is no better way to do it than at school where everything starts. I want make sure no one makes a choice that will lead them to no where, and therefor they need our help as teachers to guide them.

I also worked for three years in Taiwan - teaching English. I love to teach. It makes my life worthwhile.

I am currently a 2nd year student at the University of the Western Cape. My modules are the following: Afrikaans, English, Language and Communications Psychology, German, sociology. I am currently majoring in Psychology and in the near future Afrikaans as I am planning on doing my PGCE after completing my BA degree. I am a Sunday School teacher as well

I am competent to teach this due to my work experience and love for working with children. Furthermore, I have worked with many children from a variety of backgrounds which allows me to teach confidently and effectively.

I was awarded the best Art student at Kingsmead College in my matric year. I have a passion for doing art and I find it very interesting to learn Art history. I will be able to show you techniques, teach you about some of the best artists in history and help give suggestions and ideas for your art practicals.
