I am fluent in English. I have completed IGCSE and IBDP English at the International School of Hout Bay. I did well in both degrees. I am able to teach English to your child and come up with fun ways to do so.

I have 4 years experience tutoring and managing after-school projects in various areas around Cape Town and drew up curriculum booklets for SHAWCO Education at UCT aligned with the CAPS curriculum in Numeracy, literacy, sports and more from grade 1 to grade 10s.

I'm providing a combination of academic language skills, professional working skills, and tutoring experience in English. It is my prior language of communication in everyday life, and since I learnt it myself in the high school setting, I am skilled in vocabulary, grammar and writing. I received an A for English in high school, for all three papers - literature, creative writing, and vocabulary. I also took English literature and vocabulary in my first year of university. I absolutely love English. I have over 5 years of English tutoring experience. Vocabulary is key to communication in any language. I make it a habit to always communicate as accurately and effectively as possible.

I have worked as a technical writer for over two years, and have been involved in the academic industry for over five years. English is my native tongue and I aspire to always write and speak the highest level.

I am an Applied English Language Studies and General Linguistics lecturer. I have been teaching for 5 years, and have experience not only with lecturing, but also with tutorial classes, private classes, and additional support classes. I am also currently doing my PhD in Linguistics.

I read widely and often so I have a fairly extensive vocabulary knowledge. I love English and it was always one of my favorite subjects in school and a passion of mine outside of school. I am patient and thorough which I feel are both very important skills when it comes to tutoring English at any level.

A good vocabulary is imperative to the English language. It will improve your writing, make reading easier and bring cohesion to your academic journey through English. I enjoy writing and through reading many books have been able to grow my vocabulary substantially.
