Biology tutors in Western Cape

I have a Bachelor's degree in Science, majoring in Biodiversity and Ecology. I am currently completing my PGCE to become a Biology teacher. Biology is definitely my passion in life. I have vast knowledge of plants, animals and the natural world that they form. I did very well in my biology subjects throughout high school and university. I enjoy sharing all the fascinating parts of our world with my students.

I achieved a level 7 in matric and studied this in-depth during my BSc degree. I am happy to help with specific topics/modules, help throughout the year and/or help with prepping for tests and exams. I am committed to helping my students build a solid foundation for each subject with the fundamental concepts so that new sections/topics are easier to learn and understand.

My favourite fields of study all fall within the bigger discipline, Biology. Everything I love involves Biology and I aim to learn as much as humanly possible about this subject. I understand the building blocks as well as the complicated concepts of biology, and therefore will be able to help students with whatever they are struggling with.

I have spent many years in the laboratory conducting experiments and biological assays as part of my training therefore I am adept in explaining biology from a practical standpoint. I have done research both in plant science and animal models.

I believe that, fundamentally, biology is the study of the wonders of life - how we, as humans, and every other living organism came to be. When you put it like that, doesn't biology sound so much more interesting? I am fascinated by this subject, which is why I have dedicated by life to studying it (I study medicine which is, at its essence, as study of human biology, however I have also studied several courses at university level about microbiology, biodiversity and evolution). It is my passion for biology that lead me to achieve a final result of 90% for Life Sciences at the end of matric. I would love to share my knowledge and understanding of the subject (as well as my study techniques and exam tips) with you, should you choose me as your tutor.

I have always been passionate about Biology. My undergraduate degree had human biology as one of its majors and I achieved a distinction for several modules. I am competent, patient and empathetic when it comes to teaching. I strive to always ensure that my students fully understand concepts before moving along. I also aim to instil a love of learning and of the subject into my students because I believe that is a great step towards success!

I have always enjoyed Biology, and did it under the IEB curriculum, as well as throughout my tertiary medical studies . I have taught various students Biology/Life Sciences throughout my 4 years working experience, and have achieved excellent results.

During school I was very interested in biology and have very good notes and textbooks to work and lesson prep from. Biology is an easy subject to study once you can connect the dots to how everything is connected. My job is to point out the connections and help the student understand how everything is intertwined

Whilst studying BSc in Human Physiology I majored in the biochemical process of the human body. I have always been intrigued in Life Sciences since high school and then furthered my studies into 3rd year Physiology and Life Science teaching during my postgraduate.

I have a post graduate degree in the field of human biology as a nurse and a prospective medical student, If I dont know something I am willing to find out about it to allow me to teach the student about the topic and concept. I have previously tutored students in this field as well.
