Senior Medical Student, with IEB background, and 4 years tutoring experience; offering Maths, Sciences, and Languages (English, Afrikaans) lessons in Cape Town. I have been teaching through various platforms and independently for the past 4 years. I have taught numerous students in this duration, and have readily achieved the goals students have set for themselves; Be that a 5%, 10% or 20% improvement. I believe in instilling self-directed learning skills in students, so as to empower them to continue to achieve their goals beyond our interactions, and my involvement. My teaching method is versatile; I naturally base my teaching styles on the student's learning styles. This is to ensure that the learning is optimized. I prefer to approach the student as a partner rather than an inferior party, as it is only through working alongside them that we can attain the goal they are striving for - this includes open dialogue regarding what the student struggles with, what they think would help, and how I can fit into the role of offering that assistance.
