I am a multi-faceted individual with a wide variety of interests that I pursue with determination and curiosity. With Computer Science as my major, coding has become both an academic interest and a hobby. It rewards logical thinking, an ability I pride myself on, and the versatility of computers excites my passion for abstract reasoning and problem-solving. I am passionate about using computers to promote development and community and spend time considering how to use them to do such. My additional subjects are physics and philosophy. Above and beyond the curriculum, I enjoy researching certain aspects of these fields. I often explore fascinating physical phenomena or read philosophical musings. I also regularly engage in critical discussion with my family and friends about a broad range of topics. I am a creative individual and especially enjoy using music as an outlet for my creativity. I dabble with instruments, such as piano and ukulele, learning pieces, fooling around and, if the inspiration strikes, writing as well. I believe in holding myself to a high standard and continual self-improvement, so I ensure that I stay fit and exercise frequently. I love both working out individually and taking part in team sports. In addition, I meditate often. I have recently started practicing Reiki as a method of clearing my mind and easing my thoughts.

TV Presenter
At YoTV, I interacted with guests, fans and co-workers from all walks of life and learned a lot more about the extended South African population. The job thrust me into a different social climate, and I worked with people who, for the most part, speak different languages and come from disparate socio-economic circles. The experience taught me new skills such as facilitating conversation, interacting and building community. In my time there, we were nominated for a South African Film and Television Award for Best Children's Program.
Coaching
I started as a swim coach, where I facilitated galas and training of up to 75 students between the ages of 6 and 12. I would jump in with the less confident swimmers and lend them a hand when in need. I then coached football. I was given the team least likely to succeed to co-coach with a friend. With a shift in coaching tactics and a focus on comradery, we won our league and placed second in our cup.

BSc Computer Science (Hons) - University of St Andrews
I am currently enrolled in an undergraduate Computer Science course at what has been rated the top Computer Science faculty in the UK. We primarily learn in Java and recently have been doing projects which incorporate SQL – please don’t hesitate to ask for coursework examples. Alongside the major, I am taking or have taken modules in Physics, Mathematics and Philosophy in my first year.
National Senior Certificate - Crawford College Sandton
A Bachelor’s Pass with distinctions (A grade) in English, Mathematics, Life Orientation, AP Mathematics, History, Physical Science, Dramatic Arts and a B grade in isiZulu. I also received full colours for academics, sports and culture which led to me being awarded an Honours Award.
