I am currently training to become a chartered accountant. I have a strong background in mathematics and accounting. My teaching style is tailored to each of my students as I know how important it is to learn at your own pace. Apart from academics I love sports and enjoying doing yoga after work. I have two cats and watch way to many series.

I am a 26 years old chemistry masters female from Limpopo. I am currently doing my first year of masters in chemistry. I am very hardworking and smart. I am patient and passionate. I own an after school tutorial program and been active for 6 years now. I believe in education and I believe that knowledge must be acquired and attained to be used and applied.

I felt like my life needed some direction and languages have always come easy to me. In high school I decided to take French as a second language to broaden my horizons, I loved learning about a new culture and country. Learning the language was just a bonus, I feel that this experience will help me to connect with the new students, as I know exactly how they feel. Scared, excited, unsure but most of all interested to learn. It creates a great foundation for me to build on. I would love the opportunity to give someone else the opportunity that I was given and aid them wherever possible. Learning a new language, especially English, can be extremely beneficial to one’s future. I would love to help someone to create a better life for themselves and to gain an amazing experience they can carry throughout their life, if they choose. I work very well with people and I have some background in being a teacher’s assistant. This experience taught me a lot on how to coach students to be better learners and how to conduct myself professionally in the classroom. Also, I learned how to help students that struggle with the teaching material, how to be patient and how to encourage them. Above all I want this to be a positive experience for us all. I hope to teach and learn students a new skill but to enjoy it as well. Grammar and pronunciation skills are very important when learning a new language. But it can be tedious if taught under the wrong circumstances, I hope to nip this in the bud and create a fun, caring environment for students to grow and have a good time. I hope to learn from them as much as they learn from me.

I am a current first year BSc student studying at Stellenbosch University. I matriculated from Trinityhouse high school, Randpark Ridge in 2019 with distinctions (80% +) in all 7 of my subjects and I obtained an average of 86%. I have passed my first university semester with distinctions in all of my subjects. I’m currently living in Johannesburg, doing online lessons myself. I’ve got some time to kill so let me help you bump up your grades a little or even just help you understand a concept you couldn’t get no matter how many times your teacher explained to you (sometimes you just need a new perspective?). In COVID times it’s important for your education to be kept at the standard it always has been, which is difficult with the transition to online learning and maybe going back to school in such crazy circumstances. You might have even missed a few weeks of school during lockdown and maybe you’re just a little bit overwhelmed because your teachers are rushing through everything to keep to the syllabus for the year. I want to help you get back on track or stay up to date so you can get the best marks possible at the end of this very strange year. We can take everything at your pace, go over something from 10 different angles until you understand it. I’ve been told by people I peer tutored in high school that I give a completely different perspective to how they were taught the concept. Originally from a corporate background in financial services - auditing, I decided later in my career to help others in a subject that i am passionate about, Accounting and which i feel is an essential life skill and stepping stone into many career options. I currently teach Grade 10 to 12 Accounting and am willing to provide tutorship to anyone needing my assistance on an on-line basis. At school it was one of my favourite subjects and I did very well at it, ending with an 86% average for physical science in matric. My hobbies include playing piano, building electronics projects and anything to do with computers. I have tutored several students be particular student was a matriculant in the year of 2019.
