Tutors in South Africa

Hello. My name is Louise, I am from London England, however moved to South Africa in 2012 to live permanently with my South African husband. We have a 22 month year old daughter who is the joy and light in our lives. In England I completed my GCSE's (matric equivalent), and thereafter furthered my education by completing three A-Levels and one A/S Level (college equivalent), in Art, English and History. I continued to further my education and at the age of 18 moved cities in England to complete a Bachelor Degree. I completed my BA degree in Art and History in 2003 at De Montfort University Leicester, England. After my BA Degree I decided to do (and I completed), a Prosthetics and Make-up 'private' diploma course for the Film and TV industry. Once I completed the three month course, I pursued and delved into the Film and Theatre industry, which I thoroughly enjoyed for a year or so, but then decided to change my career path... I was given a wonderful opportunity at a London Municipality and worked for six years there, working up the ranks as an officer in a number of fields. I then decided to recruit as a police officer in England, and after a long haul through the lengthy recruitment process...I finally passed all the exams and tests and became a Police Officer in 2009. I served the public to the best of my ability until deciding to move here, to South Africa. I am now doing the last year of my second degree (now in Law), and would love to share my knowledge thus far. I am very methodical, reliable, and have got mainly distinctions to date. I am an experienced Information Technology teacher in the IEB curriculum with great success. I am currently employed by a prestigious English private school in Midrand but I am residing in Pretoria. I have access to multiple resources of old tests, textbooks etc, to ensure the best possible outcome of any student. My main focus is Java and SQL programming in which I am fluent in. I have my own transport and are willing to travel anywhere in the immediate Pretoria area.

I am honest, reliable, respectful and punctual in all that I do. I treat all those around me with respect and fairness, and give each task my all. I have a B.SocSci in Psychology and Sociology, a counselling qualification as well as 2 years teaching experience overseas. I have a passion for children and enjoy tutoring because I like to know that I can encourage someone to better their marks and assist them while they do. I completed my studies in psychology, I specifically did the Bpsych degree which entailed 720 hours of practical work, apart from doing daily assignments, test and/or examination. I graduated as one at the top of my class and I believe that I owe it all to self-discipline and balancing daily tasks effectively. I love a challenge and I believe that my spirit to persevere is what drives me. I'd like to think that I am also a very nurturing and patient human being. I have an honour's degree in molecular biology and I am currently an intern medical scientist. Next year (2020) I will finally begin pursuing my MSc, as I am interested in growing and developing my career as a scientist. I am also a creative and active individual - participating in local art fairs regularly as well as growing my skills in yoga/acrobatics. If I weren't a scientist I'd probably be an artist.
