I am currently employed in the finance sector as a financial educator. However, seven months ago I was an anatomical sciences lecturer at two of Gauteng's universities and I graduated with a masters degree in biological anthropology in July 2019.

I have obtained a Master of Science degree in Genetics and Developmental Biology. I have also completed my Post Graduate Certificate in Education through UNISA. I am in search of students to assist in Mathematics,Natural Sciences, Physical Sciences and/or Life Sciences.I have 8 years hands-on experience tutoring students from both Government schools as well as Private schools, students from diverse backgrounds, unique styles of learning and various grade levels. My tutoring experience also includes first and second year university students at Wits. I am therefore familiar with the guidelines of the IEB requirements and implementation of the CAPS curriculum.

I have over 5 years of tutoring experience at a high school and university level. I have taken students from failing to distinction. I tailor the lesson to the individual. In order to effectively educate students, we need to create relatable lessons that encourage understanding and retention. I understand what it feels like to be lost and without hope. I not only try to give students the technical knowledge they require to pass, but I attempt to create a positive mindset centred around self-belief. This self-belief gives students the confidence to tackle any academic challenges both now and in the future. I have an MBA, PGDip General Management, Dip Management Accounting and BCom Financial Management Sciences. I matriculated in 2009. I have come top of my class in various subjects throughout my academic career. Professionally I have worked in the finance departments of major telecommunications, mining and engineering companies. I am a data scientist and maths enthusiast, passionate about sharing and teaching what I learn. I gained extensive tutoring experience over my five years of study at UCT, where I graduated with distinctions in mathematics, applied mathematics and mathematical statistics, followed by first class honours in applied maths. I have been course tutor for 1st year mathematics and 2nd year statistics courses, while also tutoring many maths and science 1st year courses as part of UCT's Help@Science initiative, which I was part of for three years. I have thorough, shareable notes on all subjects I have studied and tutored.
