I passed Science with a distinction and am currently majoring in chemistry at Wits. I have passed first and second year chemistry major and am currently studying third year chemistry and applied chemistry. I have sound knowledge and understanding on the subject and I believe that I can help improve your grasp of the subject.

When starting chemistry, I did not have the best knowledge or understanding of it. Over countless study hours, and through finding the best teacher to help me, I managed to gain a great understanding of the subject. Cambridge chemistry, a separate subject from Physical Science, is somewhat more advanced and comprehensive than South African syllabi, which has enabled me to gain a better understanding of the subject than most of my peers.

This subject is my area of expertise as I have majored in chemistry for my undergraduate studies at University of Limpopo in 2015 with an average of 70%. I then registered honours in chemistry in 2016, where I tutored undergraduate students. In addition to this, I was also selected to be Supplemental Instruction Leader for a chemistry first year module as it was selected to be amongst the difficult modules at the university. My average mark for honours in chemistry was 68%. I further registered masters in chemistry in 2017, where I continued to offer tutoring lessons up until 2019. My masters mark was 84%. Currently, I am doing my PhD in chemistry at the University of Western Cape.

I obtained a distinction average for science in high school and at the Karabo centre for science, mathematics and commerce. Notably, I have also obtained a distinction for chemistry in my second year of university studies in Pharmacy.

I have a BSc degree in chemical biology where I completed 2 years if physics and 3 years of chemistry. This makes me an experienced tutor but I am also an easily approachable and relaxed individual but I still encourage and push students to do well and feel confident in the subjects they struggle with. I use easy to understand examples to explain complex concepts student struggle with.

I achieved 79% for Physical Sciences (and chemistry) by the end of Grade 12 in 2013. I am capable of teaching physics and chemistry, however my interest strongly lies with chemistry as I have had previous tutoring experience in this field (high school and first-year engineering chemistry), and given my qualification in chemical engineering.
