I enjoy the opportunity of interacting with learners directly in a tutoring environment and developing a personalised approach to conceptual understanding for each student. Tutoring provides the satisfaction of unlocking a learners full potential and challenging me as the educator to continually strive to develop new and more effective approaches to facilitate personalised learning thereby improving my own knowledge and insight into the subject content.

I am currently a final year student studying a Bachelor of Pharmacy Degree at the University of the Western Cape. I understand and get along well with highschool aged students and I also have a passion for education.

I am fluent in English and Spanish with a moderate understanding of French. I play basketball in my spare time and also read and write.

I ran companies, have been on boards while pursuing a freelance career in music as well as tutoring university subjects like stats, business management, management accounting and economics.. I also conduct orchestras on all levels as well as playing the violin and viola. I am a mature gentleman with a young family. My 2 youngest are 5 and 7 respectively and my oldest 2 are 30 and 32. I have successfully tutored students on all levels previously. Tutoring is a 2 way commitment. Not a quick fix.

I am a science-lover with a fascination for learning new things. I love sharing knowledge and helping other people understand scientific concepts. I had the only life sciences distinction in my school in my Matric year (87%). I then also obtained 3 other distinctions (Afrikaans, English, and Life Orientation), with my remaining three subjects (Physics, Core Maths, and Information Technology) in the 70s. I am generally the person in my university modules who takes the lead in projects and ensures that everything runs according to plan. I'm particularly focused on helping fellow students understand concepts, and I'll often share learning material or easy ways to remember sections. Last year I completed my BSc Zoology degree at the University of Pretoria, and I'm currently working towards my BSc (Hons) Entomology degree.
