English skills tutors in Randburg

For 30+ years, I have been an educator, specialising in English and Dramatic Arts. If you want to learn to command English, then you need me, with my long experience in education and my work as a writer and editor, to help you learn how to iuse English very effectively.

I am experienced in the Read Write Inc programme, assisting learners with spelling strategies. I am an experienced Foundation Phase teacher with a solid foundation of early Literacy skills. I work at a reputable school with an excellent curriculum.

I am the best to tutor English skills because I have had experience assisting learners' skills in English and I am patient and willing to help learners who need assistance in this area. I will ensure that each student I teach gets the attention that they need and that I can assist them in improving their English skills.

Currently a PhD student, I am in the final stages of completing my studies, while lecturing select courses at Wits University. Once finished, I hope to continue with a career in academia. I am originally from Johannesburg and have spent much of my time here, aside from a period of studies in London. I enjoy travel, literature, and the arts.

I am a parent with five children, eldest daughter 22 and 20 year old son just finished Matric, 16 year old son in grade 9 and twins in grade 1. I enjoy working with teens and am very patient and versatile. I enjoy one on one interaction as it engages learners more effectively.

I am an enthusiastic person, with a great love for learning and teaching. I'm patient and love to work with people. I definitely have my strengths, such as English, History and Art, but am able to teach all subjects! I especially love working with children

With regards to English, I have +/- 9 years experience tutoring and teaching English. 4 of those years I spent teaching English as an ESL teacher online, to adult professionals. During this time, I was also able to assist these students with proofreading and editing their written work.

Professional with approximately 10 years experience in Marketing and Finance. I have strong analytical skills, work well under pressure and am equally comfortable working on my own or in a team. I lead by example and believe in going the extra mile in any position I find myself in. While I am focused and driven I believe that everyone has value and as such, am a highly empathetic individual. I attend Hillsong church and during 2017 i will be interning there for the year. I studied psychology so i love helping people and seeing them reach their full potential. I also enjoy the outdoors, hiking, reading and listening to music
