I have completed my Grade 8 in piano and used to run a music Academy - would love to teach again.

My passion for teaching comes from my own love for developing understanding and fostering communication, with outcome- oriented thinking forming the basis for my teaching ethos. I believe that through my teaching experiences, I can contribute to the goal of providing holistic education. I am an engaging, dynamic and professional individual, currently completing a Masters thesis at Wits University. I recently spent a year in South Korea teaching English to middle and high school learners, and I have previously tutored primary and high school learners, coached swimming part- time for four years, and acted as a teaching assistant in first- year BSc courses at Wits University, where I was responsible for identifying learning gaps, conducting experiments and assessing and providing constructive feedback to students. I have honed and developed my ability to communicate effectively with learners of all ages, mastered the classroom management and administration necessary to execute lessons smoothly, and developed my planning skills to cater for meeting the learning objectives of learners at multiple levels.

I have just returned from studying overseas. I finished school last year with 8 distinctions. I have a passion for maths, science and languages. i have experience in tutoring maths, science and Afrikaans.

I am a 27-year-old woman who is organised, creative and committed. I have a degree in a Bachelor of Education and I enjoy working with children of all ages. I have extensive experience with children having worked as a tutor, special needs facilitator, au pair as well as a teacher. I am patient and enjoy simplifying difficult concepts.

I enjoy experimenting with food, such as trying new recipes. I am also very passionate about interior design. In my spare time I enjoy reading and I have a great love for animals. Furthermore I enjoy setting goals for myself to achieve and fulfill them.

I am currently a final year Bachelor of Pharmacy student at the University of the Witwatersrand. I love working with people, am extremely patient and a great communicator which I believe makes me an exceptional tutor. The subject areas that I am hugely passionate about and competent in are Life Sciences/Biology, Geography, English and Afrikaans (First Additional Language).

I have experience with the language and I am able to relay important facets of the language to the student. I work in conjunction with the syllabus to make sure that students are able to stay on track and achieve their academic goals.

Afrikaans is my second spoken language. Learning a new language or improving your skills with a second or even third language can be challenging. I would not only like to assist you but inspire you while overcoming any difficulties. I believe patience, empathy and practice is key.

I love languages and teaching their speaking, reading and writing to students. It is satisfying to help a person grow in confidence, as they are shown it is not as difficult as they may have thought., and great fun to be able to communicate using a new language, or grow in the ease with which one reads, writes and speaks it.
