I am a 23 year old female that is a qualified teacher. I went to the University of Pretoria and graduated at the end of 2015. I am vibrant and really enjoy teaching. I am always willing to help and encourage my students and especially enjoy when they succeed.

My name is Catherine and I love to learn! My belief is that all students require different methods of learning because not all students are the same. With the correct skills in learning and studying any student can excel. It all comes down to routine, good learning habits, correct study methods and memory techniques. When a student actively takes charge of their studies, their success engenders an enjoyment for learning which in turn encourages further success. Every individual is unique and no one study method works for everyone. Understanding the learner's strengths and weaknesses can assist in finding out what techniques will work best for learning. When the right study method is being used, memory follows. My testament to truth of the above statement is in my own achievements. I was an average school learner who struggled with many subjects. But a combination of determination and hard work, continuous study and a development of good study habits and methods brought me to the end of my Matric year with seven distinctions. This was not something I could have achieved without the help of good tutors and teachers. I have an Honour's degree in Jewellery Design and Manufacturing and I am currently studying for a BA in Ancient History and Classical Culture.

In High School I received the History trophy for three years running and I never obtained any mark less than 90%. I am extremely passionate about history, and I love learning and studying past events and also seeing how these events influence our current lives.

My passion for teaching comes from my own love for developing understanding and fostering communication, with outcome- oriented thinking forming the basis for my teaching ethos. I believe that through my teaching experiences, I can contribute to the goal of providing holistic education. I am an engaging, dynamic and professional individual, currently completing a Masters thesis at Wits University. I recently spent a year in South Korea teaching English to middle and high school learners, and I have previously tutored primary and high school learners, coached swimming part- time for four years, and acted as a teaching assistant in first- year BSc courses at Wits University, where I was responsible for identifying learning gaps, conducting experiments and assessing and providing constructive feedback to students. I have honed and developed my ability to communicate effectively with learners of all ages, mastered the classroom management and administration necessary to execute lessons smoothly, and developed my planning skills to cater for meeting the learning objectives of learners at multiple levels.

My name is Mariam Diallo. I matriculated from Jeppe High School for Girls in 2015 with distinctions in English, Afrikaans, Mathematics, Physical Science, Life Science, History, Life Orientation and Consumer Studies. I am currently studying Mechanical Engineering at Wits University.

I care about each and every student and offer them individualized teaching/tutoring/educational support - study skills, organization, etc. tailored to the individual student . My training and experience allows me to be an excellent support for the student.

I am a second year law student who is highly positive and intelligent, I thoroughly enjoy helping people and learning from people. My strongest attributebis my ability to see and understand people, which helps a great deal when teaching and learning from a person as you are able to encourage them to give you more even when their reluctance is showing. I thoroughly enjoy the rollercoaster that is life and hope to one day make a difference in it.
