I enjoy tutoring as you are able to have a meaningful impact on the ability of a student to grasp and successfully interpret concepts and ideas on which they can build a strong foundation to use these skills in passing their exams and in real life. For me it is important not to just teach a student what the answer is but to comprehend why they are trying to solve the question, this enables students to appreciate the practical application of skills and abilities being taught. I am able to break down complex concepts into an easy to understand foundation from where the student can build their knowledge and skills to solve intricate challenges with confidence.

I am a second year student at Stellenbosch University doing a Bachelors Degree in International Studies. I do English, German, History, Political Science, Socio-Informatics, Economics and Sociology. My name is Finn and I am currently in grade 12 at Silvermine Academy. I live in kommetjie but my mom works at the Two Oceans Aquarium in the Waterfront. I have been conditionally accepted to study medicine at UCT next year which I am extremely excited about. I have achieved the top results in my grade since moving to Silvermine when I was in grade 9 in 2016.
