I am a 22 year old student studying BComm Mathematical Sciences at Stellenbosch University. I matriculated from St Mary's DSG, Kloof in 2013 with 8 distinctions. I am a kind, considerate and passionate individual. I am always punctual and well-mannered, I am a very patient teacher and hope to obtain a PGCE in the near future to qualify as a High School teacher as I have really found a passion for it teaching our grade 11 extra maths class at Kayamandi High over the past 6 months.

I enjoy reading a variety of books and random articles online. I also love baking and always find myself trying a new a challenging recipe. I recently started sewing and I am enjoying that a lot. I have done quite a range of crafts including origami. I also love playing computer games and coding. Sometimes I go out of my room to be social and that can be quite enjoyable too. Over weekends and holidays I like to go hike and I sometimes dip my finger into photography too. I am currently a second year Mechatronic Engineering student at Stellenbosch University. I believe that you should do something every day to help someone around you.

I am a graduate Civil Engineer and I am doing my masters in Renewable Energy engineering. I have a big interest in the environment and technology and these are two of the main reasons I chose this field.

I have always loved science and mathematics as well as languages and I used to tutor my fellow classmates. I believe that every student is capable of excelling in academics - all you need is the right person to help you find your study method and instill passion for learning, because learning really can be fun. I recently completed my degree in Chemical Engineering at Stellenbosch University and I am currently taking a short course in German whilst applying for jobs. Thus, I have a highly flexible schedule. For as long as I can remember, I have been the one in my family to watch over everyone's kids, so working with young people comes naturally to me.

I won the featherweight belt for the Cape fight league in 2015 and the SA lightweight amateur MMA opens in 2015, this is an indication of my commitment to hard work and any discipline I put my mind too. I am a second year student at Stellenbosch University doing a Bachelors Degree in International Studies. I do English, German, History, Political Science, Socio-Informatics, Economics and Sociology. In High School I took English Home Language, Afrikaans Frist Additional Language, Biology, History, Drama, Life Orientation and Mathematical Literacy. I am good with kids and willing to travel to the desired meeting place. I am busy most days until 17:00 because of class but I am free most times on weekends.

As a PhD candidate in Linguistics, I strongly believe that I am a suitable tutor, given my exceptional presenting and writing skills and my background in Linguistics and Translation studies and research fraternities. I believe that my academic qualifications meet all the necessary requirements. I am seeking a challenging but rewarding tutoring, which is why I was drawn to this exciting opportunity. I have acquired the necessary skills through my master’s course work which includes phonetics and phonology, Sociolinguistics, grammar, syntax, pragmatics, translations, communications verbal and written and research methodologies. I am a Transcriptionist at ShazzRams Translation and Transcribing company as I have transcribed panel meetings at the National Research Foundation and transcribing for research purposes at Wits University, University of Limpopo’ Senate Executive meetings and others. I also work as a translator, translating documents from a source language such as Sepedi to English and English to Northern Sotho. I have skills in simultaneous and consecutive interpreting as well as editing and proofreading skills. I have served as a Mentor mentoring undergraduate students in English, Northern Sotho, Interpreting, phonology, communication studies, and phonetics. Furthermore, I have attended African Doctoral Academy at the University of Stellenbosch and I was awarded a mixed-methods certificate in research design and preparing for a PhD. I was then appointed in the school of languages and communications under the department of linguistics and translation studies as an assistant lecturer. I am currently a second-year Actuarial Science student at Stellenbosch University and graduated from Somerset College as the Dux Scholar. However, I understand the struggle and frustration of just 'not getting' a subject or not having the interest to study it. Throughout my school years, I've learnt some tips and tricks to understanding concepts and making studying a bit easier and more exciting. I'm an easy-going person that can adapt to your learning needs and hope to help you get the marks you want to achieve
