As a PhD candidate in Linguistics, I strongly believe that I am a suitable tutor, given my exceptional presenting and writing skills and my background in Linguistics and Translation studies and research fraternities. I believe that my academic qualifications meet all the necessary requirements. I am seeking a challenging but rewarding tutoring, which is why I was drawn to this exciting opportunity. I have acquired the necessary skills through my master’s course work which includes phonetics and phonology, Sociolinguistics, grammar, syntax, pragmatics, translations, communications verbal and written and research methodologies. I am a Transcriptionist at ShazzRams Translation and Transcribing company as I have transcribed panel meetings at the National Research Foundation and transcribing for research purposes at Wits University, University of Limpopo’ Senate Executive meetings and others. I also work as a translator, translating documents from a source language such as Sepedi to English and English to Northern Sotho. I have skills in simultaneous and consecutive interpreting as well as editing and proofreading skills. I have served as a Mentor mentoring undergraduate students in English, Northern Sotho, Interpreting, phonology, communication studies, and phonetics. Furthermore, I have attended African Doctoral Academy at the University of Stellenbosch and I was awarded a mixed-methods certificate in research design and preparing for a PhD. I was then appointed in the school of languages and communications under the department of linguistics and translation studies as an assistant lecturer.
