My name is Emma van Heerden I am a Chiropractic student at UJ. Before finding my passion in Chiro, I studied Environmental Science at TUKS and completed my Honour in Sustainable Development at Stellenbosch University. I've worked in Renewable Energy and also spent a year abroad working as an Air Hostess for Qatar airways. One of her recent accomplishments was invited to conduct her MSc work by CERN (European research organization which operates the world's largest particle physics laboratory). Hi I'm Crystal, I just matriculated from Edenglen High school and I'm currently a student at AFDA doing a degree in motion picture medium, although this is what I'm studying I've always had a passion for teaching and I figured by doing part time work as a tutor I'd be able to use my skills and help fellow students, I'm fluent in English and I did relatively well in English and History in matric.

I have completed one year of studying at Tuks, passing both physics and maths. I completed a Cambridge matric with 62% for Maths, 72% for Physics, 63% for Chemistry and 70% for Business studies. I understand the struggles of not getting something the first time, and I love being able to figure something out. Being in university I have learnt the most efficient ways to solve problems and tackle new concepts. I love working together with people and can adapt to many different learning styles. I struggled in the early parts of matric to gain marks good enough to gain entrance to engineering at university. Because school was not so long ago for me, I relate so much to the struggles that the student is going through, and can therefore use that relationship to help them succeed.

I am a language teacher who loves fun and exciting classes. The classes are fun because I use props such as puppets, music and games to engage students. Believe me, even adults love playing games in class because it doesn't feel like work when music and all sorts of other fun items are presented. When I teach online, even my dog and cat play with us in class sometimes. Everybody can learn through laughter and play. I can hardly wait to meet you and have you as a student! I've always been passionate about teaching the learners science during my high school days. My physical science teacher afforded me the opportunity to teach grade 11 and 12 learners since i was the best learner in science and mathematics. Over the 8 years of tutoring, i have learnt that all students are different and that they grasp material at different rates. I have developed unique ways of delivering the material to accommodates different students. I have tutoring experience for both chemistry and physics at tertiary and high school level. Physics and chemistry were my major subjects for my Bsc degree at university in addition to the chemical engineering degree that i have.
