I have a Bachelor's degree from UCT, with majors in English Literature and Psychology. During my studies at UCT I received a Golden Key award for outstanding academic performance. I went on to complete an Honour's degree in Clinical Psychology through UNISA. I also completed a TESOL certificate with 100hrs theory and 50hrs practical. I have taught In Thailand (at a language school and then a government high school) and for the past 4 years I have been a language tutor. I have also been teaching English online for the past year. I am passionate about teaching, especially languages. I love to be creative in designing my lesson plans and I make sure to incorporate learning strategies to suit each student's learning style. In my spare time I love to write fictional (and often fantastical) stories. I also enjoy reading and drawing. I am patient, creative, and hard-working. I am computer literate and have access to a quiet work space with a high quality web camera and microphone.

Born in Namibia I have been raised with German as my Mother Tongue. I am currently working in the Tourism Industry dealing mostly with the German market and conducting all verbal and written communication in German. I have volunteered for numerous months as an English teacher abroad and have tons of experience in a teaching environment and currently in the process of completing my TEFL course.
