I have a passion for grammar, reading, and writing. It is so important to pay attention to details when writing so that you can convey the most accurate message to the reader. As an international language, it is important to communicate effectively.

I did extremely well in English in my final school year and have excellent comprehension skills, covering grammar and reading and answering techniques. I am also able to aid in the understanding of set literature books and poetry, as well as the essays and questions that come with them, which can be daunting at times. I put a fun twist on the seemingly monotonous texts and am here to not only increase your marks, but give you the confidence you need to constantly excel in this language.

I felt like my life needed some direction and languages have always come easy to me. In high school I decided to take French as a second language to broaden my horizons, I loved learning about a new culture and country. Learning the language was just a bonus, I feel that this experience will help me to connect with the new students, as I know exactly how they feel. Scared, excited, unsure but most of all interested to learn. It creates a great foundation for me to build on. I would love the opportunity to give someone else the opportunity that I was given and aid them wherever possible. Learning a new language, especially English, can be extremely beneficial to one’s future. I would love to help someone to create a better life for themselves and to gain an amazing experience they can carry throughout their life, if they choose. I work very well with people and I have some background in being a teacher’s assistant. This experience taught me a lot on how to coach students to be better learners and how to conduct myself professionally in the classroom. Also, I learned how to help students that struggle with the teaching material, how to be patient and how to encourage them. Above all I want this to be a positive experience for us all. I hope to teach and learn students a new skill but to enjoy it as well. Grammar and pronunciation skills are very important when learning a new language. But it can be tedious if taught under the wrong circumstances, I hope to nip this in the bud and create a fun, caring environment for students to grow and have a good time. I hope to learn from them as much as they learn from me.

I strongly believe in the strength of English as a subject. I have been tutoring English across a range of curricula (including IEB, Cambridge, and GDE) for three years, and have learnt the value of analysis and interpretation skills in this subject. Over the years, I have developed techniques for the different sections of an English exam, and how to adapt these techniques to each individual student.

I enjoy reading and mainly enjoyed my set works during high school. I try my best to make even the most mundane tasks seem fun and enjoyable. I am passionate about those who find reading and poetry boring to change their perspective and assist in positive outlooks and outcomes. I believe I have a strong command of the language and enjoyed english as a subject thoroughly during school.
