English skills tutors in Port Elizabeth

I have had the opportunity to teach English in Thailand and Vietnam. I worked in two international schools. I taught in High School and Primary School. I had the responsibility of a homeroom classroom in both establishments. During my contracts at these schools I was required to teach IGCSE, general English, reading, writing, and speaking. Students were non- native English speakers and therefore I had to find methods and strategies to implement understanding. This was done through explicit teaching. The concept of this approach is- I do, we do, they do. The outcome of this made the students more confident when communicating in English. I also gained an immense amount of patience from these experiences.

Received an A+/ distinction level for English in school. Literature analysis and essay writing is a skill I enjoy and I often assist my younger sister in analyzing her English literature plays, books and poetry to write essays which she receives good marks for.

I have completed my English Language and Literature Studies at University Level through UNISA. I enjoy reading and writing as a hobby, I love Shakespeare, Poetry and Rap music. I work in adult education and marketing where write and develop course content, provide training, create advertisements and articles. I have also taught English to Chinese students for a year, focusing on reading, writing, vocabulary and grammar.
