I also achieved distinctions in Physics and Life Science in matric and would love to help high school students achieve the same. I have a full time job as a Junior Business Analyst where I apply the problem solving skills I acquired from my degree, everyday.

Good Day, My name is Seamus du Plessis and I am 25 years old. I have my honours degree in BCom (Hons) Business Management & my undergraduate degree in BCom Marketing Management. I currently work as a data analyst, but due to lockdown, I am unable to work full-time. I am hoping that I will be able to use my skills and knowledge to help empower young students. I have many years tutoring experience with a wide range of different aged students. I am passionate about learning and the importance of education. I am an outgoing and bubbly individual with a keen passion for teaching and I am currently studying towards my PGCE in order to become a full time teacher. I have been teaching my whole life whether it was helping out my little sister with her homework to formal tutoring undertaken during my varsity years. I graduated both my degree and honours with distinction and want to use the knowledge I have gained to help other people. I am really interested in being challenged in terms of finding out new and interesting ways to explain concepts to students until they understand it. I am a dedicated and patient individual. If I undertake a tutoring job my ultimate aim will be to pass on the knowledge I have gained in my studies and through my experience in order to assist the student in understanding their work and passing their tests. When I tutor it is extremely important to me to create an open environment where no question is viewed as "stupid", in fact one will find that "stupid" questions are far more common than not and I want my students to feel that I have created a safe place for them to ask ANY and ALL questions to which I will answer to the best of my ability. I do not profess to know everything but what I can do is learn the answer to any question and make sure I teach the student that answer. My goal as your tutor is to help you pass your subject no matter what that takes, and I will keep trying and changing my methods, techniques and examples until that goal is achieved. I am a 25 year old female currently working in the renewable energy sector. I hold an undergraduate degree in Geography & Environmental Science and International Studies, aaaand currently completing my Honours degree in Energy Studies :). I love laughing, family and food! I am qualified teacher with a Bachelor of Education from the University of Johannesburg. With 2 years of experience I have learnt a great deal on what the key aspects are for learners to focus on. I have from grade 4 all the way to grade 10. With real life experience in the teaching world i bestown a great deal of patience and experience.

I have taught business English in Korea with Berlitz Korea in the Gangnam area for 1 year. Many of my students improved on their vocabulary, fluency and grammar. I am a patient and enthusiastic teacher. I am also an Environmental, Social and Governance Consultant and I am able to discuss and teach on a number of ESG topics. I am also in completion of my MSc in Environmental Management.

I was born and grew up on a wheat farm in the Western Cape. I was at boarding school in Cape Town and did my B.A. at Stellenbosch University majoring in English and French. I then spent 4 years in the Netherlands working in Amsterdam and The Hague. On my return to South Africa, did an extra major at Wits, got married, had 2 children. After my divorce, I studied again obtaining my teaching diploma and honours degree in educational psychology. I have worked locally as a teacher and, since I qualified in 1997, as a remedial therapist in part time private practice. In South Africa I have worked with students from other countries in Africa and the Middle East. I have also taught English as a foreign language (TEFL) for 7 years in Taipei, Taiwan to scholars, students and business people. Since my return to South Africa in 2009 I have worked at schools and privately in educational support which not only includes homework and school work but general and specific study skills and improving students’ learning confidence and organizational abilities. Generally one may say that I ‘mentor’ – especially students from Grade 3 to Grade 7 with the aim of getting them ready and confident enough to deal with High School and life thereafter!I

I'm an intelligent and articulate young man who currently works as a SAICA Trainee at one of the top four audit firms. I am articulate and love teaching others on subjects I am knowledgeable on. It really comes naturally to me. My teaching style is to teach in a manner that best suits the learning style of whoever I am teaching therefore feedback from the learner is an integral part of the process. I have interests in sports, gym, reading and subjects around my career.
