My name is Chris and I am a dedicated teacher who is looking for tutoring work. I enjoy honing my teaching skills as I prepare to make my way overseas to Beijing where I will be taking on a full time teaching position in August. Until then I am looking for work to keep my teaching skills sharp.

I love the dynamic of teaching and learning, the reward of knowing that you have passed on knowledge to someone else is incomparable. At almost always, as a tutor you learn something new yourself.

I currently hold a BA Honours in Psychology. I enjoy reading. I pay attention to detail. I have a passion to empower our youth and instill as much knowledge as I possibly can in them. I currently work for a college, I have experience in teaching students in terms of marking reports and dissertations. I also teach students telephonically. I have one on one consultations with students to assist them in understanding certain aspects.

I am a helper by nature. This is why I studied law - I wanted to be a voice and an activist for those who are at a disadvantage in society. It's also why I qualified as a teacher; I love the learning process and I am passionate about helping others to reach their potential. Being a helper is also what motivated me to study psychology and I have just completed my undergraduate degree. I have travelled and worked in countries around the world and this allows me to add a richness and depth to the way that I teach. I have an appreciation for the uniqueness of each person and as your tutor and learning partner, I will seek to build a working relationship with you that will allow you not only to "survive" those tests and exams but to thrive. And most importantly, we will have fun and we will enjoy the journey. I enjoy running, mountain biking, the ocean and the outdoors. I enjoy cooking, reading, writing, poetry and a good movie.

From an early age, I've acknowledged the importance that education plays in improving our own lives as well as those around us. I therefore seek to use my own education to shape my personal and social growth. My post graduate studies in Psychology, specifically Developmental Psychology, have shown me the importance of a quality education from an early age.In becoming a tutor, I hope to assist in more than mastering the relevant work, but to also help children develop a positive attitude towards learning in general.
