I am currently an Accounting student at the University of Johannesburg and have just finished third year of my Bachelor of Accounting Degree. I will be doing my Post graduate diploma in Accounting science this year (2017). This is an honours equivalent. Once I have graduated with my post graduate diploma I have aspirations to pass my board exams and become a Chartered Accountant. Accounting is my passion and it is a subject that I have enjoyed from my first encounter with it in grade 8. I am a patient person and will identify the best way to approach the topic for different individuals as people do not all learn in the same way.

When I was 18, I climbed Mount Everest. Not metaphorically—I literally climbed the highest mountain on Earth. While I was hiking, I thought about quitting approximately 5,000 times. (And that’s a lowball estimate.) But despite the high winds, low altitude, mental and physical fatigue, and trail mix overdose, I kept going. I’m that person. Once I say I’ll do something, it will happen. Now I apply that perseverance to everything I do. That everything includes coordinating and planning different ways in which will make various subjects easily understood by creative minds. An attractive aspect of being a college teacher is that you get to do many different activities on a regular basis. During the year, i will teach classes, conduct research, attend accounting conferences, review others' research, mentor students, serve on /college/department committees, and interact with professionals/regulators/standard setters. The diversity of the activities makes the job exciting and stimulating. It is easy to avoid getting stuck in a rut because you get to do many diverse things.DEDICATED COMMERCE TEACHER.
