I have always been a numbers person, with exceptional mathematics and computer skills. I like to explore the relationships between numbers, and translate digits and data into stories. These stories can explain the origin of the universe or simply how nuclei change with temperature. On a personal level, I am detail-oriented, organized, and precise in my work. I have strong communication skills with a knack for clear and illuminating presentation.

I'm really passionate about programming - especially Python and Java. Along with teaching you the fundamentals of programming, I'll also teach you to enjoy it. I can show you a bunch of useful and exciting tools to speed up the process. I can teach you about Git, Linux, APIs, and many more technologies that are becoming very important to know if you're looking to start a career in tech. I started getting into programming about 5 years ago, and I recently graduated from a Software Engineering Bootcamp at HyperionDev. Since then, I've been getting into Django (a Python framework for web development) and Docker (a tool for containerization, making it easier to run programs on different systems), and I hope to help more people learn to love programming.

My name is Lauren, I am currently a Ph.D student in neuroscience, I have degrees in biochemistry and pharmaceutical chemistry. I have broad interests and have a fun and witty personality and always up for a laugh. Hard work is one of the core characteristics of success, but this is very dependent on how much you enjoy a specific subject and how interested you are in it, this is what I would like to show you, how to enjoy what you learn.
