I am a 26 year old girl currently studying towards my Msc. Psych part time. I have been a tutor for the last six years to both school and university students, and have experienced a great deal of success with my students. I am very relaxed as a teacher, but I do expect my students to put forth the effort required to engage in the sessions and complete any extra work I give to them. I accept student assignments and drafts and am happy to proof read, edit, and provide feedback where necessary to ensure the best outcome.

Private tutor
As a private tutor, I taught select and an array of subjects and catered to whatever needs my students had over the numerous years I have done this. I also provide proof reading, editing, and draft marking services to ensure better marks and presentation of school assignments.
UCT psychology tutor
My job included leading the compulsory psychology tutorials for a group of 18 students (one semester- first year students; second semester- second year students). I taught intro to psychology and 2nd year clinical and neuroscience. This also involved invigilating tests, and marking weekly assignments and offering help to any student who is struggling.
Waitress/hostess
I worked as a senior waitress and hostess at a busy local restaurant. Shifts were long, but I never let a smile fade from my face and my work ethic was strong; especially during busy hours and with demanding tables.

I have skills in writing essays and know what is expected of these essay questions, and can therefore help with structure and flow in this area.

Psychology
I was a top student in Psychology from my first year at university throughout my initial Bachelor's degree. I received a distinction overall on my degree, and made it into the very competitive and prestigious Honours program for psychology. Since then, I have enrolled as a part-time student at an international university to finish my Masters in psychological science, and therefore am more than qualified to tutor in this area.

I had the highest dramatic arts portfolio in my province for IEB matric, and received a score of 89% overall for my exams. I excel at dramatic arts theory and can help students formulate essays, answer questions, and structure their work in a way that is sure to improve theory marks (a huge part of the overall subject!).
