Firstly, my teaching philosophy is to minimise the students weaknesses and teach to the students strengths. I have the skillset to identify the types of learning styles the student has and to be able to present information in a way that has the greatest effect. my main goal in tutoring is to build confidence in the student and to enhance their study skills and overall performance. I know I will be able to do this because I am a compassionate person and I am able to build a good rapport with the student. I am also empathetic, non-judgemental, enthusiastic, a good listener and most of all, patient. I am passionate about this particular subject. In addition, I do have a TEFL certificate in order to teach English and I have 20 hours of in class practice.

Teaching English as a foreign language is quite interesting. It's also a privilege to share the knowledge I have to help someone else. Not only did I complete my TEFL-course with a distinction, I have also worked abroad (in France) where English was taught as a foreign language. I also studied French, which is definitely a foreign language for me, so I am completely aware of the challenges learning and teaching a foreign language can have. I took patience to learn it, and therefore I have patience when it comes to helping people.
