I am head of HR, which requires drawing up time sheets, gathering all personal details, responsible for all HR related policies and paperwork, keeping track of clock-in times and leave days/ sick days/ warnings etc. Responsible for drawing up Standard Operating Procedures. I am also responsible for all admin work. All paper work needs to be filed accordingly. I am responsible for all regulatory related work.

I was responsible for staff management, ensuring they arrived on time, that they completed their daily work with the kids, ensuring that they treated the kids correctly. I was responsible for organizing staff timetables and working hours. When necessary I was responsible for disciplinary action and/or hiring of new staff I drew up the daily work for the kids. Clinical Trial Assistant/ Data capturer

Being a clinical trial assistant involved a lot of filing of study related documents in the correct folders. I had to capture all the data from the patient files onto the electronic case report form. All queries needed to be answered. Files needed to be checked for quality control. All mistakes and missing information needed to be reported and fixed. I had to prepare folders for monitoring visits and audits. when required, I needed to take patients vital signs (blood pressure, weight, heart rate, take personal details)

Waiter

Waitering was a weekend job to make extra cash and gain some experience in the work environment. It was an excellent way to learn how to multi-task, how to work under pressure and to gain people skills. It was an interesting adventure that saw me having to juggle multiple tables at the same time. Orders needed to be remembered and taken out to the correct customers, you needed to collect your cutlery and set it out gather all the necessary items for the table and you had to remain calm and be friendly to your customers.

    I have majored in psychology at UCT. My degree included completing clinical psychology, neuroscience in psychology as well as research in psychology. I have some knowledge of child psychology. My passion lies in clinical and neuroscience . I find the brain fascinicating and complex. The way that illness presents in the brain is extremely interesting and many more people need to understand how serious mental disorders can be and how it can affect every facet of ones life.
